The Physics Department of CINVESTAV, counts with a long experience in research on particle physics done by the High Energy Physics Group (GAE). The Physics department counts with a magister and a doctoral programme in the field. Additionally, the same group has great tradition creating several spaces for the dissemination of particle physics such as the Advanced Summer School, Cátedra Augusto García González, courses, congress, and talks.

The experimental members of our group are part of CMS and ALICE Collaborations at the LHC, the Belle-II Collaboration at KEK, D0 and E-831 Collaborations at Fermilab, H1 Collaboration of HERA at DESY, and the Pierre Auger and HAWC Collaborations for detection of ultrahigh energy cosmic rays. Some members also develop instrumentation and detector techniques with potential applications in Medical Physics.
