Purpose

I enjoy introducing a number of media choices into my pieces to create depth and textural interest. Each piece begins as does a new relationship, with rarely a planned path forward. Slowly feeling my way, or at times easily charging forward, I proceed with brush to canvas. The possibilities of what can be created with this process are literally limitless, keeping my imagination at a constant hum. I enjoy solitude during the creative process, taking several days at a time enjoying great music and creating. It is always fun to emerge from the experience with a new piece. When I share my art, I am connecting the viewer to the space in which the piece was created. For me, this is a very personal experience. It is always interesting to see which piece an individual gravitates toward and what the art might mean or feel like to that person. It is within that moment, when I see another connecting to my creative expression, that the real reward takes place.
